When the long-running Minneapolis band Dazy Head Mazy went into the studio to record their latest album, Mercury Said 65, they had a specific direction in mind. The songs on the album were going to be primarily older songs that the band had never recorded for one reason or another, but that were big fan favorites. The concept and design of the album artwork reflects that nostalgic approach.
Also shown: Acoustic Cities CD artwork. Recorded live at the Cities' 97 studio, this acoustic album features all of the bands' most popular work from their previous four studio CDs. Using scanned objects and hand drawn fonts, the design reflects the ‘unplugged’ sound on the disc.
